Week 3: Coping with Feelings Outside of Food

Week 3 Activity (Click To Download)

Many people struggle in their relationship with food because we are emotional beings and food can often feel like a source of comfort.

Emotional eating and restriction can happen both consciously and without even realizing it.

If you use food to cope with feelings, creating awareness of your feelings can help you make adjustments to those experiences. This way, you can identify the feeling more easily and choose coping options that will help you work through the emotions in a healthy way.

Today's activity helps you navigate this process. Use this framework to help you through times where you feel triggered to decrease uncomfortable feelings and allow you to feel more empowered through your emotions.

If you’d like to share about your experiences with this activity and lesson, feel free to post in the support group and reflect on how this went for you.d
